Glentoran’s Northern Ireland international midfielder Joely Andrews has been shortlisted for the 2022 Women’s Premiership Player of the Year, with the result to be announced at the NIFL Northern Ireland Football Awards on Saturday evening.
The nomination is another tribute to Joely’s amazing consistency as she was the 2021 winner of the Ulster Footballer of the Year Award. Joely , who turns 21 next week has been at Glentoran since she was 8 years old.
Glentoran Women are delighted to announce the signing of goalkeeper Ellie Scott
Ellie Scott has signed from Lisburn Rangers. The Northern Ireland U17 international is the latest signing for Glentoran Women ahead of the 2023 season which begins on Sunday against Derry City.
General Manager Billy Clarke: "Ellie is someone we’ve been watching for a while. She has huge ability and we’re delighted to add her to our squad."
Glentoran Football Club is thrilled to announce the inaugural Glentoran Inclusion Cup.
The Glentoran Inclusion Cup is open to teams from the Inclusion, FFA, & Disability categories. The tournament aims to provide an organised, competitive event to enable greater opportunity to celebrate diversity and for like-minded individuals to meet, build friendships and progress inclusive football in Northern Ireland and beyond.
The tournament will take place on Saturday, July 29th, 2023, at Newforge Sports Complex, 18B Newforge Lane, Belfast BT9 5NW.
The Marcus Kane Testimonial was supported today by a match at the Bet McLean Oval between Glentoran Legends and a team of Glentoran Supporters. The supporters team was jointly managed by trophy winning former Glens managers Roy Coyle and Eddie Patterson and appearing for the first time was Glentoran Women Legend and current player Kelly Bailie..
Thanks to everyone who otganised the event and also to those fans who lived the dream by turning out at the Oval against so many of their heroes.
Glentoran ended their Cliftonville hoodoo today with this decisive and comfortable victory at the Bet McLean Oval.
Rodney McAree made just one change to Wednesday’s game v Windsor with Aaron Wightman taking the place of the injured Hrvoje Plum. Wightman lined up at right back with Rhys Marshall moved into a midfield three with Bobby Burns and Terry Devlin. Harry Murphy kept his place at centre back after an impressive first start at the National Stadium.

On Saturday we welcome third placed Cliftonville to the Bet McLean Oval.
Cliftonville are the only side Glentoran have yet to take a point from this season, having won 1-0 at the Oval in late November and recorded 1-0 and 2-1 wins at Solitude in December and February.
It is with the saddest of hearts that Glentoran Football Club pays tribute to our long serving and much-loved Team Doctor, Dr Chris Kyle, who has passed away following a period of illness.
Dr Kyle provided his time, support and expertise to the club over many years and was a reassuring sight in the Glentoran dugout home, away and across Europe. Even in his final weeks he worked with the players and was always available to provide support, advice and wisdom. Such was his love for Glentoran and those within the club.
