Match Preview: Linfield v Glentoran

Tue, 11/04/2023 - 22:04

Wednesday 12 April

Kick Off 7.45pm

Tomorrow evening we cross the city to the National Stadium to face Linfield in the sixth “Big Two” match of the season.

With Friday’s 0-0 draw at home to Crusaders and Larne’s win at Solitude on Tuesday having left Linfield ten points behind leaders Larne (with only twelve points left to play for albeit with a game in hand) the Blues are under huge pressure to stay in striking distance before the sides face off at Inver Park in the penultimate game of the season.

Larne 2-0 Glentoran

Sat, 08/04/2023 - 00:43

Larne took a big step towards a first ever League Title and Glentoran’s hopes of automatic qualification for the UEFA  Europa League a blow following this one-sided match at Inver Park this evening. The 2-0 scoreline if anything flattered the Glens’ insipid performance.

Rodney McAree made one change from Saturday’s 5-1 defeat of Portadown, with a recovered Conor McMenamin returned to the starting line-up and Niall McGinn on the bench for this one.

Glentoran Makaton Awareness

Wed, 05/04/2023 - 12:10

The team were involved in recording a Makaton sign with Claire from Makaton Mondays. It’s so important to raise awareness of Makaton.

Makaton is the UK's leading programme for adults and children with learning or communication difficulties. It is a language programme that combine signs, symbols and speech to give different options for people to communicate. Using signs can help people who do not user speech.

Claire is on a mission to make the world more accessible!
