Everyone at Glentoran Football Club was saddened to learn of the sudden passing on Saturday of our former player, Tommy Craig.
Tommy enjoyed two spells at the Oval initially in the mid 60s, during which he scored the winning goal in the Steel and Sons final of 1965.

Tommy then spent time at Clandeboye Park, playing for Bangor before returning to the Oval in 1973. On his return, Tommy would be an integral part of the side that reached the quarter-finals of the European Cup Winners Cup and was also a member of the side that faced Ajax in 1975.
After his playing career finished, Tommy went into Management and enjoyed spells with Holywood FC and H W Welders.
His son, Robert would also play for Glentoran and scored the winning goal in the 1987 Gold Cup final. Sadly, Robert passed away seven years ago.

In recent years Tommy was a familiar face in the stand along with his grandson Josh.
Tommy is survived by his wife Winnie and son Thomas and his family.
Everyone at Glentoran send our sincere condolences to Winnie and the family circle at this sad time.
May he rest in peace.
