Glentoran Seconds fixture update

Glentoran Seconds have a rearranged fixture away to Glenavon on Saturday 10th January; kick-off 2pm.

Glentoran Seconds game away to Crusaders Reserves has also been brought forward by 24 hours. The game will now take place at Seaview on Tuesday 20th January with a 7:45pm kick-off.

The Seconds will also play Warrenpoint Town Reserves at the Oval on Saturday 31st January at 2pm.

Castlereagh GSC Charity Night Raises £2000

Club Member and Past Chairman Jim Douglas who recieved treatment for cancer from the MacDermott Unit throughout 2014, presents a cheque for £2000 to Sister Caitlin McCoy on Christmas Eve.The Castlereagh GSC when approached by Jim the inspiaration behind a cabaret night held on Friday 28th November  would like to say a huge thank you to everyone involved and who supported us in this very worthwile fundraising event.

Arbitration Update

Statement from the Board.

The Club can confirm that our Arbitration hearing regarding Gary Hamilton's eligibility to play against us on 8th November 2014, took place today.

The Club, represented by Chairman Stephen Henderson, Grahame Jenkins and Aubry Ralph put forward a robust case. A three man legal team represented the Irish Football Association.

The UK for Sport Arbitrator will adjudicate within the next 10 days and the Club will not be making any further statement until after the ruling. 

Warrenpoint Town 0-5 Glentoran

Eddie Patterson named an unchanged team as the Glens travelled to South Down this afternoon to face the in-form Warrenpoint Town. Glentoran had hit 5 goals on their last visit to Milltown but the hattrick hero that day, Curtis Allen, had to sit this one out with an ankle injury.

Glentoran travel to face Warrenpoint Town at Milltown on matchday 25 of the Danske Bank Premiership. It will be the third meeting of the teams this season with Glentoran taking maximum points from the previous two games. 

The sides met at the Oval back in mid-August. Warrenpoint Town took an early lead in the game but goals from Curtis Allen (2) and Fra McCaffrey saw the Glens win 3-1, although the scoreline did flatter the home side.

Glentoran 4-1 Institute

Glentoran kicked off 2015 with an emphatic 4-1 win over Institute at the Oval. Goals from David Scullion and Danny McKee saw the Glens lead 2-nil at the break. Jordan Stewart and a second from David Scullion sealed the 3 points for the Glens although Robbie Hume did pull a goal back for the visitors.
