Yesterday before our game against Cliftonville at the Oval the Chairman of the GCT Jim Welsh approached the club Chairman Stephen Henderson to make a substantial offer of money to help the Club fight the arbitration hearing that is currently underway in relation to the Gary Hamilton eligibity issue. The GCT have offered up to £6,000 to the Club to assist them with this matter.
Danny McKee provided a Christmas cracker that we'll all enjoy for years to come as Glentoran defeated current champions Cliftonville at a chilly Oval on Saturday afternoon. Manager Eddie Patterson - up against his old employers - kept faith with the same team who had secured full points from both Ballinamallard and Dungannon Swifts in the last two weeks whilst the Reds boasted inform Jay Donnelly - younger brother of Swansea City striker Rory - and Ulster Footballer of the Year Joe Gormley.

Glentoran face Cliftonville at the Oval in the Danske Bank Premiership on Saturday afternoon with a 3pm kick-off. It will be a tough test for Eddie Patterson's side with the Reds looking to stay in contention at the top of the table.
