All the goals came in the second half as Glentoran eased into the quarter finals of the Irish Cup where they will face Dungannon Swifts at the Oval. There was little to cheer the fans in a nondescript first half and, while the Glens enjoyed the bulk of the possession, chances were few and far between. Steven Gordon fired a shot straight at Armagh ‘keeper Sean Morgan after eight minutes and midway through the half the Armagh defenders were forced to clear off the line from corners twice in quick succession, but the home supporters were left hoping for rather than expecting a goal. Glentoran face Armagh City at the Oval this weekend in the Irish Cup with a place in the quarter finals up for grabs. City are currently sitting in mid-table in Championship 1 having won 5, drawn 3 and lost 8 of their league games this season. The Cup is a different matter though and if Glentoran players don't perform to the level they are capable of then an upset could be on the cards.
All at Glentoran FC would like to wish a speedy recovery to Colts goalkeeper Rhys Clougherty who suffered a broken leg in a game last night. Rhys is currently undergoing treatment for the injury and we would like to send him our best wishes and hope he is back in action again soon.

Two Glentoran Seconds players have left the Oval; reserve team captain, Ross Stewart and full back, Lee Chapman.
Stewart has been signed by PSNI whilst Chapman has joined championship pacesetters, Bangor. Skipper Stewart lifted the George Wilson Cup last season and both players were instrumental in winning that trophy.
A moment of brilliance from Glentoran's in-demand starlet Jordan Stewart gave Glentoran a much deserved point at Solitude against champions Cliftonville. Stewart's 90th minute goal sent the away fans into raptures and ensuring Glentoran remain just three points behind Cliftonville and remain in 5th place in the Danske Bank Premiership.
The club is disappointed at the outcome of arbitration and is currently considering the available options.

We feel this sets a dangerous precedent that could detrimentally impact any club in much more serious cases than simple player eligibility.
The Glens and the Reds meet in the Danske Bank Premiership for the third time this season with Glentoran yet to taste defeat. A win would bring Eddie Patterson's side level on points with Cliftonville who currently occupy fourth place in the league table.
On the opening day of the season the two sides met at Solitude and the Glens held the champions to a goalless draw (highlights from that game are on BBC Sport NI HERE ).
The PSNI have issued the following advice to Glentoran supporters travelling to Solitude on Saturday for our Danske Bank Premiership fixture with Cliftonville.
