Terry Devlin joins Portsmouth

Glentoran Football Club confirms that Terry Devlin has joined Portsmouth FC.

Everyone at the club warmly thanks Terry for his outstanding contribution to Glentoran in the 2022-23 season since joining us in August 2022. Particularly his performances post-split and in our successful Europa League Play Off campaign.

Best wishes to Terry for a very successful career at both club and international level. He will be sadly missed by the Glentoran Family.

Ali Pour Updates the Fans

Glentoran Women lost both their unbeaten start to the season and also their long-standing hold on the Toals Bet Cup tonight with this unexpected and underwhelming defeat to Crusaders at home, just three days after easily dispatching the same opposition in a league fixture.

The Glens made five changes to Friday night’s team, mostly to give minutes to squad members, with a very welcome first start of the season for Kelly Bailie. But it was still a very strong starting line up by any standards.

This season Marcus Kane, Glentoran’s number 3 joins a long, revered, list of iconic footballers, who have pulled on these famous colours.

An unchanged Glens starting line up saw Glentoran through this one at The Ryan McBride Brandywell this evening, The Glens took the lean on the 20th minute. Emily Wilson made a trademark run free down the left-hand side and her ball across goal was met by the onrushing Joely Andrews! T6hjree minutes later the lead was doubled. Th3 division’s leading scorer Kerry Beattie The league’s leading goal scorer gets in behind and stays cool to place it past the keeper for her first of the evening and twelfth of the season so far. AQ double strike in injury time of the first half made the game safe for the visitors. First Andrews got her second. This time the ball fell to Hamilton on the right wing, Caragh sized sizes up the left back, went around her and plays a low ball across to Andrews who finishes convincingly/ The scores didn’t change until the 71st minute when half time sub Rachel Rogan controlled down the middle, picked her spot and fires it into the back of the net. Rogie finished the scoring on 78 minutes. She latched onto a threaded through ball The ball’s threaded through to Rachel Rogan who has time to take a touch and look up before picking her spot beyond the keeper. Warren Feeney appointed manager

Majority Shareholder Ali Pour and the GRC Board of Directors are delighted to welcome Warren Feeney to Glentoran FC as our new First Team Manager.

Director of Football Paul Millar said of Warren’s appointment:” With the suddenness and unexpected nature of Rodney McAree’s resignation at the weekend, the Glentoran Board immediately began looking for a suitable replacement to manage the first team.
