Glentoran FC is delighted to announce the deadline day signings of Finley Thorndike and Danny Amos.
Finley (22) is an attacking midfielder who spent last season on loan to Alvechurch in the Southern League from his parent club Birmingham City. He has previously had spells at West Bromwich Albion and Aston Villa. Finley will wear the number 77 shirt.

Ali Pour and the Board of Glentoran FC are delighted to announce the appointment of Tony Webster as Chief Executive Officer of the club. Tony commences his new role on Monday 2nd September.
The new CEO, currently based in Harrogate, North Yorkshire has a wealth of experience in growth and transformation of Businesses, with a deep insight into sports clubs, possessing a Master’s degree in Sporting Directorship and was a Visiting Lecturer in Sports Business Management at York University.

Cliftonville surprised many last season - after enduring a difficult close season that followed on from a failure to qualify for Europe and with the appointment of manager Jim Magilton proving initially controversial - by finishing 3rd in the table and ending their 45 year wait to claim an Irish Cup victory.

Johnny, who doesn’t turn 20 until next month, Has been with Glentoran right through all Academy stages and he fully deserves this selection after making the breakthrough into the first team last November and immediately making the left back position his own with 34 starts in all competitions last term.
Glentoran Women’s extraordinary run of trophy successes continued with this County Antrim Cup Final win at Blanchflower this evening.
After an edgy first half hour between these 2 great rivals, the Glens took the lead on 30 minutes when a Demi Vance free kick was headed back from the far post to Rachel Rogan who nodded home her 15th goal of the season,
The Glens dominated from that point and Chloe McCarron deservedly doubled the lead when pounced on a defensive header to confidently fire home from inside the Reds box with 20 minutes to go.
Glentoran Football Club is delighted to announce that we have signed Kodi Lyons-Foster and on behalf of the Glentoran Family we warmly welcome Kodi to the Bet McLean Oval.
Kodi (27) is an English centre back who came through the youth academies at Tottenham Hotspur, Aston Villa and Bristol City, later playing for Aldershot Town, Braintree Town, Maidstone Utd, Tonbridge Angels and last season for Worthing in the National League South. . Kodi was capped by England at youth level.
The Glens players showed tremendous character to win this one against a strong Carrick side, our third very competitive game in six days.
Declan Devine made four changes to the starting line up as injuries sustained in the Coleraine game ruled out Cameron Palmer, Josh Kelly and Jay Donnelly. They were replaced respectively by Marcus Kane, Johnny Russell for his first start after recovering from a close season injury and David Fisher. Eighteen-year-old James Douglas was given his first start after an impressive half against Coleraine with Charlie Lindsay on the bench.
