Glentoran 0-0 Glenavon

Sat, 28/09/2024 - 22:36

The brave souls from both Glentoran and Glenavon who negotiated the traffic today were rewarded with one of the most dull, incident free games seen at the Bet McLean Oval in some time as these two sides played out a goalless draw that never looked like it was going to finish any other way.

Declan Devine had to reshuffle the defence with the loss of the injured Paddy McClean but was able to include Cameron Palmer in the starting lineup. Djair Parfitt had his first start on the left of  the reshuffled 4-3-3 formation.

Larne Women 0-5 Glentoran Women

Fri, 27/09/2024 - 23:23

A first half double from Emily Wilson paved the way for this victory with a late 3 goal burst putting the 3 points beyond doubt in this evening’s Sports Direct Women’s Premiership game at Inver Park..

Northern Ireland international Wilson opened the scoring on 10 minutes when she finished from an excellent right-wing cross from Rachel McIntyre. The Glens took a 2-goal lead into the break after Wilson scored with a characteristic long-range effort just after the half hour.
