It will be like a family reunion tomorrow night at Taylor’s Avenue tomorrow night. But a spicy one.
Rangers have three points from two matches so far with a 2-0 opening day home win over Glenavon followed by a somewhat surprising 3-0 defeat at Loughgall last Saturday.
The Draw for the August 200 Club has been made. The list of winners is below and once again we thank you for your support.
AUGUST 200 CLUB WINNERS
The teams shared the spoils in tonight’s entertaining game at the Bet McClean Oval. On a night dominated by robust defences, Glentoran can perhaps count themselves unlucky not to have taken all three points. A good performance underpinned by several excellent individual outings and a robust sense of teamwork can provide encouragement for the season ahead.
The game itself started brightly, with both teams passing the ball with intent in the early stages. Even from the outset, it looked like it might take a piece of individual brilliance or a mistake to break the deadlock.
Tuesday 20th August
Kick Off 7.45pm
The games come thick and fast with a new look Coleraine side coming to face the new look Glens at the Bet McLean Oval.
Coleraine have four points from their first two games with an opening day away 1-1 draw with Dungannon Swifts followed by a hard won 4-2 derby win over Ballymena on Friday evening. Anyone who watched that feisty affair on the BBC iPlayer will have been impressed with their resilience in that game.
In Tuesday night’s 40-page Glentoran Gazette Declan Devine praises his team – and Glens fans - for their respective performances in Saturday’s match at Portadown. He also reveals he has lost out on a couple of players to clubs outside the league in the last week and that Coleraine boss Dean Shiels ran the rule over Glentoran at Shamrock Park ahead of tonight’s clash.
After a slow start, this evening the Glens clicked into gear in the second half at Stangmore Park to secure another comprehensive victory in their quest to retain the Sports Direct Women’s Premiership title.
Glentoran Legends travel to Ballynahinch next Sunday (25th August) to face Ballynahinch United in a charity match with all proceeds going to Autism NI.
The game is at the Millbridge, Ballynahinch, kick off 2pm.
The event has been organised by the members of Ballynahinch Glentoran Supporters Club so get along and support our legendary players and this great cause.

An injury time goal from Niall McGinn gave the Glens a very deserved win at Shamrock Park today with a vastly improved performance against a resilient newly promoted Portadown side.
