Glentoran's Academy has produced some stellar young talent in the past who have gone on to shine for the club's first team.
Paul Leeman, Stuart Elliott, Andy Kirk and Colin Nixon are just some of the legendary names to have rolled off the Academy's conveyor belt in years gone by.
Glentoran FC is delighted to announce the appointment of Diarmuid O’Carroll as Head Coach of Glentoran Women FC and to warmly welcome him to the Oval..
Diarmuid joins us after a long playing career that started at Celtic, saw him capped by the Republic of Ireland at every level up to Under 21, and effectively ended on an incredible high with four consecutive NIFL Premiership winner’s medals with Cliftonville and Crusaders. He was a long standing signing target for Glentoran during Eddie Patterson’s tenure as Manager.
A Robbie McDaid opener and a brace from Darren Murray gave the Glens a welcome win at the Oval this evening in the Danske Bank Premiership. There were a couple of changes from Saturday's starting XI with Willie Garrett and Darren Murray coming into the starting line up to replace the suspended Chris Gallagher and Calum Birney.

On Tuesday night we welcome Warrenpoint Town to the Oval, just over a fortnight after our 5-0 win at the Q Radio Arena.
We clearly need a win after two consecutive defeats. If we do so we will move above Dungannon Swifts into eighth place, one behind Institute. However a defeat and ‘Point will move level with us on points. So no slip ups can be afforded.
Lifelong Glentoran supporter Jim Logan recently passed away after suffering an initial stroke following our match with Linfield last month. The Board of Directors and all the staff at Glentoran pass on their deepest condolences to trhe family circle on their tragic and irreplaceable loss.

After an uneventful first half at the Coleraine Showgrounds, a second half error of judgement by a Glentoran defender and a controversial third penalty decision by referee Keith Kennedy saw the Glens lose 2-0 at the hands of Rodney McAree's Coleraine.

On Saturday we try to bounce back from Monday’s late collapse with a visit to the north coast.
Glentoran supporters witnessed déjà vu tonight in a manner that epitomised both this season so far and basically the past few seasons. This season in our failure to see out the closing minutes when in a strong, hard won winning position. The past few years in the way that 38 year old Gary Hamilton was able to yet again bring himself on late in the game and turn it in Glenavon’s favour despite rarely playing at any level this season.

Glenavon fans who are attending tonight's game at the Oval should note that it will be segregated. Supporters' buses will drop off at the Dee Street bridge and away fans should enter the ground at the City End via the steps and the tunnel. Buses will pick up at the same place after the game.
