Additional tickets released for Irish Cup Quarter Final

Glentoran is pleased to announce that a very limited number of additional adult and concession tickets have been made available for the Clearer Water Irish Cup Quarter Final clash against Bangor on Friday 28th February 2025 at Clandeboye Park (Kick-off: 7:45pm).

Tickets will go on general sale from 12:00pm on Saturday 22nd February at: https://www.glentoran.com/tickets.

Glentoran Colts have booked their place in the Harry Cavan Youth Cup Final after a spirited 1-0 victory over Larne U18s in the semi-final at Blanchflower Stadium.

Captain Ciaran Duffy proved to be the match-winner, delivering the decisive goal on a torrid night in Belfast, with heavy wind and relentless rain making conditions far from ideal. But nothing could derail the Wee Glens’ ambitions, as they battled through the elements to secure a place in the showpiece final.

Glentoran denied by stoppage-time equaliser at Ballymena

Glentoran stretched their unbeaten run to 16 games but had to settle for a 1-1 draw against a stern Ballymena United at the Showgrounds in tonight’s Sports Direct Premiership tie.

Christie Pattisson struck in the second half for the visitors, but Joe Moore grabbed an equaliser for Ballymena United four minutes into stoppage time.

With only five minutes on the clock the home side could have taken the lead but for an excellent intervention from David Gyollai in goal.

Calvin McCurry impressed down the right before he squared for Success Edogun at the near post.

Jenkins aims to maintain goalscoring form as Glens face Ballymena

Glentoran striker Jordan Jenkins is determined to continue his goalscoring form as Declan Devine’s side prepare for a crucial Sports Direct Premiership clash against Ballymena United at the Ballymena Showgrounds on Tuesday night (kick-off 7:45pm).

The Glens head into the fixture unbeaten in 15 matches across all competitions, having recorded six wins and two draws in the league since November, while also lifting the County Antrim Shield, securing a place in the BetMcLean Cup Final and reaching the Clearer Water Irish Cup Quarter-Finals.

Valentine’s joy for Glens as they defeat Coleraine

Glentoran brought all three points back to the BetMcLean Oval after a dominant 2-1 win over Coleraine in tonight’s Sports Direct Premiership tie at the Showgrounds.

Glentoran cemented their place in second position in the table as their unbeaten run stretches to 15 games.

Marksman Jordan Jenkins struck his 12th goal of the season in the first half, with the impressive Kodi Lyons-Foster adding a second late on. Matthew Shevlin grabbed one back in the final minute for the hosts, but it was not enough.

Glentoran players inspire young footballers at ‘Soccer Science’ event

Aspiring young footballers gathered at Avoniel Leisure Centre on Friday 14th February for a groundbreaking event that fused football, science and technology as part of this year’s NI Science Festival.

‘Soccer Science’ - a collaboration between the Rio Ferdinand Foundation, Choice Housing, Glentoran Football Club and The Nerve Centre - provided a cross-community learning experience for 80 young people aged 13–18.

Glentoran Football Club has recognised three long-serving and dedicated volunteers with the prestigious title of Life Vice President, celebrating their outstanding commitment and service to the club.

Davy Stewart, Harry Hawkins, and Stephen Reid were officially honoured in a special ceremony in the boardroom of the BetMcLean Oval ahead of last Saturday’s Sports Direct Premiership clash against Dungannon Swifts.
