Mon, 29/04/2019 - 22:26

Glentoran Women swept to a convincing five-goal victory over Comber Rec. Ladies in the League Cup quarter-finals.

It took the Glens 32 minutes to open the scoring with Nadene Caldwell getting on the end of a Demi Vance corner following a sustained period of pressure.

Five minutes before the break, Vance was the provider again with another inch-perfect corner and this time it was Sarah Gamble who rose the highest to get her head to it and double the Glens lead.

Sat, 27/04/2019 - 19:41

Today's final home game of the season was put in doubt as Storm Hannah arrived in Northern Ireland overnight; rain and wind sweeping over our old East Belfast Oval stadium. Things looked pretty bleak around 11:30am but thanks to our hard working groundsman, William Kirkwood, ably assisted by finance director, Richard McGuinness and a small team of helpers we were good to go by 3pm.

Glentoran 2-2 Warrenpoint Town

Wed, 24/04/2019 - 00:30

Glentoran require 1 point from their final fixture to clinch a Europa League play-off spot following a 2-2 draw at the Oval on Tuesday evening.

The team failed to reproduce their fine second half performance against Newry City last Friday evening but showed enough charachter to twice come from behind and earn a draw.
