With so many young players currently playing for our Academy at various age levels, child welfare is clearly an issue Glentoran sees as a major priority for the club. To ensure full compliance, we currently have 27 coaches completing the Irish FA Safeguarding Course across last Thursday night and tonight at the National Stadium (inluding our current first team goalkeeper, Elliott Morris).
A hat trick from Nadene Caldwell and one from recent signing Jessica Davis gave Glentoran Women a convincing win over Comber Rec at Londonderry Park, Newtownards this evening. The Glens closed the gap with Linfield Ladies at the top of the league to three points as the Blues drew tonight with Sion Swifts.

Glentoran Women's striker Rachel Rogan is the first-ever winner of the NIFWA Women's Player of the Month award.
Rachel won the April/May trophy for her extraordinary goalscoring exploits, bagging 15 goals across three different competitions.
She scored eight goals in the Danske Bank Women's Premiership, hitting doubles against Comber Rec, Derry City, Crusaders Strikers and Cliftonville. After six games, the Glens are second in the table five points behind Linfield.
The Westbourne GSC in association with Glentoran FC is hosting a Night at The Races to assist with medical expenses this Friday night (.
As you may be aware, Nathan Kerr sustained an injury to his knee/leg in our Europa league playoff final against Cliftonville. This night will be to raise funds for the operation required to get Nathan back playing as soon as possible.

Johnny Frazer and Cameron Stewart have signed pre contract forms and will be registered as Glentoran players when the transfer window opens on 9th June.

Due to the incredible success of our 2004 group we are currently looking to recruit players for next seasons U15 National League ‘A’ and U16 NIFL Premiership Development League squads.
Our player development plan will see a lot of the current successful 2004 squad progressing to the U18 and uU0s and therefore there is a great opportunity for 2004 and 2005 born players to join this exciting age group.
Our current 2005 team enjoyed a very successful season themselves, earning promotion to the A section of the National League.
In what has become an annual event in the Glentoran calendar, our match programme, the Glentoran Gazette this weekend won the Northern Ireland Programme of the Year for an incredible 19th consecutive season. The award is made by the Northern Ireland Football Programme Collectors Club. Congratulations to everyone on the Gazette team on this remarkable, unprecedented achievement.
Philip Stevenson has been named Glentoran SuperFan 2018/19 at an NI Football League awards ceremony this week at the National Stadium at Windsor Park.
It’s the second year of the Danske Bank Premiership SuperFan Awards, which were launched to recognise supporters who go the extra mile for their clubs – the life blood of the Danske Bank Premiership.
