Glentoran FC is proud to announce that in the 2022-2023 season the teams’ shirts will have a single gold star above the club crest. This is in honour of the Glentoran team that won the Vienna Cup – the first European trophy – in 1914.

In 1914 Glentoran Football Club won the Irish Cup for the first time, defeating Linfield in the Final. As a result they received an invite from the Austro-Hungarian FA to travel to the region along with the winners of the Scottish Cup (Celtic) and the FA Cup (Burnley)

Fri, 01/07/2022 - 00:25

Glentoran FC is delighted to announce that our central defender Patrick McClean has signed an extension to his contract. This means that Paddy has now committed himself to Glentoran until at least the end of the 2024/25 season.

Since joining the club from Derry City in July 2019, Paddy has made 119 first team appearances for the club, scoring 6 goals. He has been a regular throughout that time, was captain for much of the 2021-22 season while Marcus Kane was injured and has been a major fan favourite from the very early stages of his career at the Met McLean Oval.
