Glentoran's unbeaten start to the season came to an end at Mourneview Park this evening and that result saw the East Belfast side lose their spot at the top of the Danske Bank Premiership.
There were three changes to the starting line up following Saturday's victory over Dungannon Swifts at the Bet McLean Oval. Danny Purkis came in for Jay Donnelly, James Singleton for Marcus Kane and Bobby Burns started in place of Terry Devlin.
Glentoran FC would like to express our deepest sympathies to our dear friend Alicia Dickson on the sad loss of her husband Russell.
Alicia and Russell were both very dedicated loyal supporters at The Oval and gave many hours as volunteers especially during our Annual Christmas Appeal.

Defender Mark Haughey has been a long-term absentee, but Danny Wallace is in line to return after serving a one match suspension against Cliftonville.
In form Conor McMenamin has won two individual awards for his unplayable form in October.
Firstly Conor was awarded the month’s Dream Spanish Homes Player of the Month by NIFL and NIFWA
Mick McDermott has been named NIFL Manager of the Month for the second time in three months after an October in which the Glens played six games in all competitions winning all six. During the month, the Glens scored sixteen goals with only one conceded.
Mick said of his award: “This award is for the whole team. I’d like to thank the Football Writers for selecting us.
Our current run is about the desire within the team because I hear them talking in training, before games, at half-time and at full-time.
Glentoran Women emulated the great Glentoran men's team of the 1980s to made it four Electric Ireland Women's Challenge Cup triumphs in a row with victory over Sion Swifts Ladies at the National Football Stadium this evening
A somewhat tentative opening to proceedings saw both sides sound each other out.
As play progressed Glentoran began to assert themselves more and fired a warning shot on 23 minutes when Kerry Beattie volleyed just wide of the target from a Jessica Foy set piece.
Glentoran returned to the top of the Danske Bank Premiership following a 3-1 victory at the Bet McLean Oval this afternoon. It wasn't the straightforward win that the scoreline suggests though with Dungannon Swifts making things really difficult for the home side and it was only when Conor McMenamin netted the third goal on 85 minutes that the home support felt secure.
