Beginning tonight, there will be weekly promotions at the Glentoran Superstore in the run up to Christmas.

From tonight (Thurs 3rd November) we will have 10% discount on all replica home shirts, shorts and socks.

We are also planning a Christmas evening on Thursday 8th December - further information to follow.

U20's Win Again

The Glentoran U20 squad continued its good form with a 3 - 1 home league win over Carrick Rangers Reserves tonight. That takes the Wee Glens to joint top of the league with Ballymena United Reserves and Linfield Swifts.

The Glentoran goals came from Joe O'Connor, Jonathan Smith and Karl Hamill.

U20's Match This Wednesday

This League match will see a milestone in the recovery of club captain, Stephen McAlorum, as he is likely to make his first appearance since sustaining a serious knee injury against Cliftonville in December 2015. Supporters are welcome to come along to the Oval to support Mackers as he takes this major step towards a return to first team action.

Other first team players - including Jonathan Smith,  Kym Nelson and Alex Leu -  are expected to feature.

The game is this Wednesday 2nd November at the Oval and kicks off at 7.45pm.

Carrick Rangers 1-2 Glentoran

Glentoran's improvement since the appointment of Gary Haveron as manager continued this afternoon as Glentoran defeated Carrick Rangers 2-1 at Taylor's Avenue. This victory is Glentoran's third league win in a row, the first time since March that The Glens have managed such a run. This all despite a depleted looking squad as injuries have started to pile up. Marcus Kane was out of the squad having suffered a recurrence of his groin injury and is expected to miss the next 4-6 weeks.

Match day 14 in the Danske Bank Premiership sees Glentoran travel to Taylor’s Avenue to face Carrick Rangers.

Earlier in this campaign Carrick Rangers came to the Oval and defeated a lack lustre Glentoran 1-nil. It was Carrick’s first league victory over the Glens since 1993 and that game saw the East Belfast side go on a run which saw resulted in just one victory in the next eight league fixtures. With the change of manager Glentoran’s fortunes are beginning to turn around.

Glentoran 1-2 Crusaders (aet)

A frustrating evening for Glentoran culminated in a 2-1 extra time defeat to Irish League champions Crusaders on Tuesday night. The Glens were largely the better side throughout and undoubtedly created more clear cut openings than their opponents, however they coughed and spluttered in front of goal leaving the Oval faithful shocked at how their team lost the tie.
