The club has shown its appreciation to The Pizza Co. Ballyhackamore for their outstanding support of the club, players and supporters throughout the season. The Pizza Co. came on board this season as a sponsor and are regular post-match suppliers of pizzas for the men’s and women’s teams as well as our volunteers at all home games. They are now also supplying other Irish League clubs following glowing recommendations from Glentoran,

Sydenham By-Pass Delays: Glentoran v Cliftonville game.

The Sydenham By Pass country bound lanes from Dee Street to George Best City Airport, will be closed for resurfacing from Friday 6th March at 23:30 until the morning of Monday 9th March and for 2 weekends after, subject to weather.

Access to the Oval from the Dee Street lights will continue as normal. However there are bound to be traffic delays and possible long queues.

Therefore we suggest that supporters of both clubs leave home earlier than normal to avoid likely long queues just before kick off time.

Further to an article in tomorrow’s News Letter, The Board of Directors of Glentoran FC wish to make it clear that the club had no intention of making any comment on the behaviour of Crusaders players at the end of our cup tie on Saturday. The club believes that matter of Crusaders players’ behaviour is one for Crusaders and the other appropriate authorities to address based on the referee’s report and any other relevant evidence, so it would not have been appropriate for Glentoran to comment.

Glentoran got a long-standing monkey off our back and progressed to the semi-final after second half goals from Marcus Kane and Robbie McDaid gave us a thoroughly deserved 2-1 win over holders Crusaders in the Quarter Final of the Sadler’s Peaky Blinders Irish Cup at the Oval this afternoon.

Glentoran were denied all three points at a windswept Mourneview Park this afternoon due to a penalty save by Jonny Tuffey and a bizarre goal from Aaron Harmon.

For the third week running the Danske Bank Premiership games were played in shocking conditions with strong winds and occasional heavy showers once again the order of the day.

Joe Crowe and Jessica Foy represented Glentoran at the National Stadium at Windsor Park, as Danske Bank and the NI Football League announced the extension of their partnership for another three years, in a record breaking deal for the league.

Amid one of the most exciting title races in years, the partnership is currently in its eighth season of sponsorship and will bring Danske Bank into a decade of successfully leading at the forefront of football in Northern Ireland.
