Premier Lounge Reopens

Corey and Curtis are delighted to confirm the Glentoran Premier Lounge will be open for tomorrow's friendly with Coleraine. 

The following essential Covid restrictions will apply:

  • Numbers will be restricted to the number of seats available at tables
  • Customers must remain seated when served
  • No more than six people from six households can sit together at a table, and
  • Face coverings must be worn when customers are not seated.

We appreciate your full co operation as we begin to emerge from challenging times.

Glentoran 2009s are Belfast Youth Cup Champions!

The Glens topped their group on Thursday and progressed to the semi-final on Friday where they faced a very strong Cherry Orchard team from Dublin. Having lost 2-0 to Orchard a week previous to this in a friendly, the boys knew they were in for a tough game going into today’s match so emerge 2-1 winners thanks to a brace from Matthew McCann was a great result. Onto the Final later in the afternoon and Glenavon who had defeated Galway in the other semi-final stood in the Glens way of Cup glory.

Transfer News: Gallagher and Coleing depart

Glentoran’s close season transfer dealings continued today with two departures from the Oval. one permanent and one on loan.

Cricky Gallagher has joined Cliftonville for an undisclosed fee. Cricky was signed for the club by Ronnie McFall in August 2018. In his three seasons here he made 93 appearances in midfield, scoring one goal, at Solitude against his new club. Cricky was a member of the Glens’ Sadler’s Peaky Blinders Irish Cup winning team in 2020-21 season.

Derry City 0-7 Glentoran Women

Glentoran Women reinforced their position at the top of the Danske Bank Women's Premiership with a seven goal win over Derry City at the Ryan McBride Brandywell Stadium this evening.

Tonight's scoring was led by an Alison McMaster hat trick with others from Shannon Dunne against her former club, Nadene Caldwell, Rachel Rogan and Kerry Beattie,

This brings the Glens' aggregate to 48 goals without reply in their last seven league and cup games.

Glentoran Women 12-0 Larne Ladies

Four goals from Casey Howe annd a hat trick from top scorer Kerry Beattie led the holders to their most comprehensive win of the season this evening in the opening tie iin the County Antrim Cup. Another two from Lauren Wade and goals from Cora Morgan (on her debut after signing from Linfield), Chloe McCarron (her first since signing from Birmingham City) and Joely Andrews completed the rout.

This brings the Glens' aggregate to 41 goals without reply in their last six league and cup games. An incredible run from an incredible team.

Cliftonville Ladies 0-4 Glentoran Women

Glentoran Women stretched their lead at the top of the Danske Bank Women’s Premiership to four points over nearest rivals Cliftonville with a resounding 4-0 victory against the Reds at Solitude on Wednesday evening. Confidence was high following an impressive run of form and plenty of goals scored in recent weeks, although a strong looking Reds line-up was certainly not to be underestimated particularly with key players returning from injury and the recent arrival of talented centre back Kelsie Burrows from Linfield.
