It took Glentoran 67 minutes to finally make the breakthrough at the Bet McLean Oval this afternoon; Bobby Burns netting his first goal for the club. Alistair Roy also scored his first for the Glens just a couple of minutes later and then a late header from Paddy McClean found the bottom corner to make it 3-nil to the home side.

On Saturday afternoon we welcome Newry City back to the Bet McLean Oval following their promotion back to the Danske Bank Premiership.
Having started their first season back in the Premiership (after a 3-season absence) with three successive defeats, Newry City gained their first points of the season in fine style on Tuesday evening: routing Glenavon 5-1 at Mourneview Park.
Glentoran Football Club is delighted to announce the signing of Terry Devlin from Dungannon Swifts.
Terry (18) is a midfielder who made the breakthrough at Stangmore Park last season and quickly established himself as a key player following the transfer of Oisin Smyth to Oxford United in January. He did so well that he was called up in the summer to Northern Ireland’s senior training squad along with our own Conor McMenamin.

Congratulations to Glentoran Women Reserves who beat Linfield Ladies Swifts to the Electric Ireland Women’s Academy League title with an emphatic 6-1 victory in South Belfast.
Our U19s went to Midgley needing a win to win the league as they entered the game three points behind league leaders Linfield U19s. who needed only a draw at home to secure the title.
For the second time in four days Glentoran headed down the M1 and just like Tuesday evening, returned East with the 3 points. A win which sees us got top of the early Danske Bank Premiership table. Tonight's win though was much more straightforward than the game at Stangmore Park.
Glentoran made a successful start to defence of the Toals' County Antrim Cup with a 3-1 home win over Linfield at Ashfield tonight.

Tomorrow night we work to extend our winning run with a visit to Shamrock Park.
There were a couple of changes to the starting line up this evening from the team which defeated Crusaders at the Bet McLean Oval last Friday night. PaddyMcClean was in from the start, partnering Aiden Wilson at the centre of the defence whilst Shay McCartan came in for Sean Murray.
