On Friday evening Glentoran Women travel to the Bluebell Stadium, Lisburn to face Lisburn Ladies in the Sports Direct Ladies Premiership.
This will be the fourth time the teams have met this season and the third time at Lisburn. Glentoran won ties in the Toals County Antrim Cup and Electric Ireland Challenge Cup. In the previous league meeting, at Ashfield, a four goal first half burst from Rachel Rogan led the way to an 8-1 home win. The goals that night came from Rogan (4), Caragh Hamilton (2), Emily Wilson and a Kerry Beattie penalty.

The Northern Ireland Football League (NIFL) is preparing to kick off conversations about road safety by pledging to ‘Share the Road to Zero’.
NIFL is a high profile signing for the initiative, which aims to reduce road deaths by encouraging all of us to think about our shared responsibilities, to be aware of our surroundings, and take more care when out and about.
Tragically, 46 people have lost their lives on our roads so far this year, compared to 32 this time last year.
Last Sunday the Glentoran Legends re-assembled in Ballynahinch for a very special fundraiser in aid of the Air Ambulance Fund. Organised by the Ballynahinch Glentoran Supporters Club.
A very strong, confident performance from at the Bet McLean Oval Glentoran tonight was overshadowed by a second half refereeing decision that had a major impact on the momentum and possibly outcome of the game.
Warren Feeney made two changes from Saturday’s win at Ballymena as the fit again Bobby Burns and Aidan Wilson returned to the starting line-up. Skipper Marcus Kane missed out following his injury in the Ballymena game and Cammy Palmer dropped to the bench.

A very young Glentoran team was unfortunate to lose to last season’s League Champions at Seaview, with a hat trick from the experienced Mikhael Kennedy the difference between the sides.
In the first half the Glens boys started on the front foot and took the lead on three mins. George Feeney broke clear and rounded the keeper to finish in style. Crusaders then fought back and equalised through Kennedy on twenty mins. It remained that way until the break/
With just over a month of the 2023 season left, Glentoran Women stand 3 points clear at the top of the Sports Direct Women’s Premiership and are in the semi final of the Electric Ireland Women’s Challenge Cup (Irish Cup). So everything to play for, for this multi trophy winning squad.
