Tomorrow's Gazette

Mon, 28/08/2023 - 14:57

In Tuesday’s Glentoran Gazette Warren Feeney reflects on the games against Larne and Loughgall and updates fans on the team’s injury list, while we detail Crusaders unlucky European exit and Stephen Baxter’s side’s strong start to the league campaign. The 40-page programme, which opens with Beth Stafford’s cover featuring Niall McGinn, also looks at the latest threat to the long-promised funding for football grounds, another IFA mess and we reveal how you can easily access every Glentoran result and goalscorer. Gazette publishers, the 1923 Committee, welcome the new directive over stoppage time in games. We have exclusive pictures from Wouter Schollema’s new book about the Oval while our own groundhopper Henry Muldrew goes continental in a new series. History masters Brian McClelland and Roy Downes have been dipping into the archives again with Brian bringing us the first of his Glentoran Brylcreem Boys while Roy recalls the night the Glens summoned reinforcements to take on the mighty Czech side Dukla Prague. There’s also the first in an occasional series about our former players from outside Northern Ireland and we begin with one very close to home. And, of course, Norman Ternahan and Tommy Sewell capture league action in words and pictures. The £4 Gazette is by the fans for the fans.

Note: This edition of the Gazette is the one printed for the original game postponed on 19th August.
