Glentoran Seconds defeated Ballinamallard Utd Reserves 5-3 after extra time at Seaview in the final of the George Wilson Cup.

BOXING NIGHT UPDATE
Glentoran Seconds will play Ballinamallard Reserves in the final of the George Wilson Cup on Wednesday 14th May at Seaview.
Seconds manager, Spike Hill spoke to glentoran.com about the game....
Can you inform us how you reached the final?
"We came out of the group stages with a 0-0 draw against Crusaders and good wins against Ards and Warrenpoint Town which matched us with Linfield in the semi final. We ran out 1-0 winners courtest of a John McGuigan penalty. So far in the competition we haven't conceded a goal, let's hope that continues in the final."
Glentoran manager, Eddie Patterson, met with some of the squad early this evening. This is the first of a series of meetings that Eddie has planned.
Tonight he informed both Kevin Bradley and Jordan Hughes that their futures lie away from Glentoran FC and that they are available to transfer to other clubs.
Mark Glendinning and his sons Ross & Reece would like to thank everyone connected with Glentoran Football Club for the support they have shown at this difficult time.
Special thanks to Philip Stevenson and the Glentoran Legends for their support throughout also. It has been a great comfort to us all.
Thank you. Sas.
Midfielder, David Howland has signed a new 3-year contract with Glentoran.
Despite significant interest from other Irish League clubs, David put pen to paper to remain at the Oval.
An update on the Boxing event to be held on Thursday 15th May.
As it happens organisation of the event has proved quite a challenging exercise. From an initial interest before Christmas of 14 first team players, the list has shortened considerably as one by one, for a variety of reasons, a number of players have withdrawn from the event. We have also just this week had the withdrawal of Terence Brannigan.
