On Saturday we play second placed Glenavon for the second time this season.
Glenavon are currently in a strong run of form and sit ten points ahead of us. However our record in these games have been solid, most recently at Mourneview last month when we took a deserved second half 1-0 lead through Robbie McDaid (his fourth goal in four matches against his former club) only to give away an unnecessary penalty, converted by Stephen Murray.
It is with sadness that we have to announce the passing of another of our stalwart supporters, Mr Noel Hall.

Our postponed Danske Bank Premiership match with Ballymena United at the Showgrounds has been rearranged for Tuesday 20th November, kick off 7.45pm.
Our away match with Newry City scheduled for Saturday 22nd December will now be played on Friday 21st December, kick off 7.45pm. As the home club, Newry City have taken this decision and notified us within the required timescale.

Glentoran suffered a comprehensive 3-0 defeat at the hands of last year's league winners Crusaders.

Following the disappointment of our unfortunate home defeat on Monday night, we have the opportunity to bounce back with a visit to League Champions Crusaders on Saturday.
Glentoran Club Secretary Ricky Rea and Glentoran Superstore Manager Ruth McCreery receive the award from Vice Lord Lieutenant of Belfast, Sir Nigel Hamilton.
On Saturday 6th October, Glentoran Football Club was formally presented with the Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service.
The award was presented by the Vice Lord Lieutenant of Belfast, Sir Nigel Hamilton at a ceremony kindly compered by Pete Snodden of Cool FM and attended by over 100 of our loyal volunteers in the Premier Lounge at the Oval.
