Glens 2011 players donate to NHS

The Glentoran Club Chaplain, Rev, David Thompson has offered the following prayer for those among the Glentoran and East Belfast families who are anxious, alone or troubled during this very difficult time for our society.
A prayer for this interrupted season of life.
Lord God,
In recent months Glentoran Academy has been arranging development games against academy opposition from south of the border. This has involved matches at various levels against high quality opposition, including Shamrock Rovers, St Joseph’s, Cherry Orchard, Shelbourne and Quay Celtic.

Our Christmas appeal was a huge success once again this year.
As a club we pulled together and showed our support off the pitch.
Your very generous donations enabled us to do the following..
Provide a 3 course Christmas dinner for 100 local pensioners.
Hold a kids party with a visit from Santa; thank you to Connswater Community Centre.
At Saturday night's Ballymac GSC Annual Christmas Dinner and Dance in the Ballymac Clubrooms, the club presented a cheque for £1,500 to representatives of the club's chosen chartity for last season, Dementia NI.
Great work and gesture from the Ballymac members.
