Glentoran Football Club has recognised three long-serving and dedicated volunteers with the prestigious title of Life Vice President, celebrating their outstanding commitment and service to the club.
Davy Stewart, Harry Hawkins, and Stephen Reid were officially honoured in a special ceremony in the boardroom of the BetMcLean Oval ahead of last Saturday’s Sports Direct Premiership clash against Dungannon Swifts.
For decades, the trio have been instrumental figures at Glentoran, taking on numerous roles and responsibilities and giving their time, expertise and energy to support the club.
Their appointment as Life Vice Presidents is a testament to their invaluable contributions and reflects the club’s appreciation for those who volunteer their time and effort in service of Glentoran.
Colin Jess, Chairman of Glentoran said: "Davy, Harry, and Stephen have been the backbone of Glentoran Football Club for many years. Their commitment, passion and dedication behind the scenes have left a significant mark on the club and its community.
“Their appointment as Life Vice Presidents is a fitting tribute to their lasting contributions and we are grateful for everything they have done - and continue to do - for Glentoran.
“On behalf of everyone at the club, Glentoran extends its congratulations to Davy, Harry and Stephen on this well-earned honour and expresses its gratitude for their continued service and dedication."
