Friday night’s Glentoran Gazette has a bit of an international feel to it. Norman Ternahan visits the Faroes, home of the team Loughgall has deposed as the smallest European settlement with a club in top flight football; Henry Muldrew recounts trips to Holland and Luxembourg to watch the beautiful game and closer to home we argue that a new Casement Park might never be accepted by some of Northern Ireland’s fans. On the domestic front Warren Feeney tells us he is expecting a tough game from a well prepared Loughgall side and appeals for fans to get behind the team after the recent rocky spell, we take a look at the Villagers who have surprised Irish League fans this season and we celebrate Glentoran Women regaining the Premiership crown for the third time in four years. Brian McClelland wraps up his series on the Glens' Brylcreem Boys in an issue which features James Singleton on graphic artist Beth Stafford’s cover. Gazette publishers, the 1923 Committee, ask will fans have a significant say in the outworkings of NIFL’s recently released five year plan for the game here. And, of course, we carry picture specials from the last three games from our own man on the track, Tommy Sewell, and our Pacemaker Press partners while Norman Ternahan gives us his view of those performances. The Gazette, at £4, is by the fans for the fans.
