Glentoran Football Club will be hosting a meeting at The Oval Premier Lounge on Wednesday evening at 7.30pm and are inviting all Glentoran supporters to attend. This meeting is taking place straight after another supporters meeting at 7pm discussing an End of Season Awards dinner, hosted by Jodie Killops and Eddie Patterson.
The issue being discussed at 7.30pm will be the Irish Cup Final and how we can make this a special day for The Club, the fans and everyone associated with Glentoran. It has been 7 years since our last Cup Final Day and many of our supporters will fondly remember the 1980's when these days were coming thick and fast. Every Irish Cup Final Glentoran have played in recent memory saw fantastic crowds and colourful scenes of red, green and black. The Club would like to invite supporters to come along to this meeting and discuss how to make the actual day a colourful day for East Belfast. With such a short time frame before 4th May we need to move quickly and not only need ideas but volunteers to help ensure we can turn the best ideas into initiatives.
Let's turn Windsor Park red, green and black, Let's make sure the noise level reaches new heights, Let's ensure East Belfast and the greater Glentoran fanbase turn out in numbers and in style to support our team on such an important day.
We are considering other events in the lead up to 4th May that will help build the atmosphere but with everything else at The Oval these days we require volunteers to ensure these ideas work.
So, Glentoran Football Club is asking for your opinions and time to make sure that we end this difficult season off the pitch will a day to be proud of on the pitch.
Please come down on Wednesday evening at 7.30pm and meet with two directors, Stephen Henderson and Grahame Jenkins.
See you there,
Board of Directors, Glentoran Football Club
