Glentoran face Institute in the Danske Bank Premiership on New Year's Day; kick-off at the Oval is 3pm.
The sides met just over a month ago in East Belfast with the Glens winning 2-1 courtesy of goals from Jay Magee and Steven Gordon. Highlights of that game are on Glentoran TV HERE. Whilst Glentoran will be looking for all 3 points to consolidate their position in the top half of the table visitors, Institute will be looking to take something from the game as they struggle to stay ahead of Warrenpoint Town at the other end.
What ultimately turned out to be the winning goal was Steven Gordon's first for Glentoran and since then the midfielder has added another 3 to his tally, scoring a brace against Ballinamallard United at the Oval and also netting at Windsor Park on Boxing Day. Hopefully he can add to his total again in the first game of 2015.

Jay Magee, scorer in that first meeting between the teams, is still struggling with injury and unlikely to feature. Long-term absentee, David Howland remains unavailable and Curtis Allen serves a one game suspension. Jim O'Hanlon had hoped to be back in contention but sustained an ankle injury when playing for Glentoran Seconds last weekend. Calum Birney also picked up a slight knock in that game but may still make the squad. Fra McCaffrey did complete the full 90 minutes against Linfield Swifts and again he should be in the squad.
Hopefully we'll have a good turn out of Glentoran fans at the game giving good vocal support to the team.
Finally, on behalf of the officials, management team and players of Glentoran FC - we would like to wish all Glentoran supporters a happy, healthy and successful 2015.
