Congratulations to Peter Murray who was the winner of the Academy ‘Easter Basket’ ballot sold at the Oval, with his winning ticket ‘Green 606-610’.  The academy would like to thank Peter and all others who kindly purchased tickets, helping to raise funds for us to invest in the development of future stars for Glentoran.  The Academy would also like to thank Marty Smith for her time and effort in organising this and the other baskets that are being balloted in several other locations.

Glentoran host Crusaders

Fri, 29/03/2013 - 11:13

Tomorrow's league game against Crusaders is the final game before the league splits into a top and bottom half. Both Glentoran and The Crues have secured their places in the top section with ease but now the pressure cranks up for the final 6 league fixtures in determining the final positions of each team. Glentoran are lying in 4th position, the disappointing defeat at home to Dungannon Swifts keeping us 5 points behind 3rd place Linfield. Coleraine are 3 points behind us in 5th with Ballinamallard still scraping for their top 6 finish with Portadown.

Glens slip up

Tue, 19/03/2013 - 22:58

Following one of their best performances of the season last Saturday and the defeat of Linfield at Seaview last night, Glentoran had a great opportunity to close the gap on third place to just 2 points with a win against Dungannon Swifts at the Oval tonight.

Glens cruise past Mallards

Sat, 16/03/2013 - 18:19

The conditions weren't exactly ideal at The Oval for today's important Danske Bank Premiership game between Glentoran and Ballinamallard Utd. It rained constantly throughout the game with it turning to snow at various points. The result led inevitably to a reasonably scrappy affair, however Glentoran coped with the conditions the better and still managed to produce some excellent football.
