The Glentoran Academy would like to pass on their thanks to Eddie Patterson and his staff for a great gesture ahead of Thursday nights Europa League game. Nathan Best from our under 14 team recently suffered a cruciate ligament injury that requires an operation and will sideline the dynamic winger for several months. On hearing of Nathan's plight, Eddie invited him into the changing rooms ahead of the game against KR to meet the players and listen in on the team talk.

Following Clifford’s fascinating interview last week (its here) we wanted to go to the next part of the story, of course that had to be the superstore. Ruth runs the superstore for us so we asked her a few questions on this week’s behind the seams to find out what happens after the design is picked.
So Ruth, where does it start when we are getting a new kit?
It feels like only yesterday that we watched Elliot Morris and Colin Nixon live the Irish Cup proudly infront of the North Stand on 4th May yet here we are back playing competitive football in early July. The dust has barely settled on last season yet Eddie Patterson and his side have already returned to training, brought in a number of new faces and seen a number of players leave the club. The manager deserves a lot of credit for signing the new players early in the transfer window, giving us the best possible chance to field a full team in Europe.
Fresh from our 14th consecutive Programme of the Year Award from the NIFPCC, the Glentoran Gazette is back to kick off another campaign with the return leg of our Europa League 1sr Round qualifier with Icelandic side KR.
As usual, the Gazette has a fresh and unrivaled new design and will be packed with brand new features and articles throughout the coming season which will maintain the high quality standard that has been set in previous seasons.
Glentoran FC have completed the signings of two more players.
Right sided defender, Ryan O'Neill and midfielder, Niall Henderson have both agreed two year deals.
