Crusaders v Glentoran

Saturday 10th February, 3.00pm.

On Saturday we visit Seaview, for our third meeting of the season with Crusaders.

Our record against league leaders Crusaders this season, as in most recent years, is not a good one with two defeats and no goals scored. The 0-1 defeat at Seaview in December was more encouraging with a decent defensive performance from the Glens.  This week we’ll be hoping to go at least one better.

Glentoran Legends will face Linfield Legends at Wilgar Park on Sunday 25th February (kick off 2pm).

Tickets are £5.

Please support this excellent event.

Elliott is January's Top Player

Wed, 07/02/2018 - 22:15

For the fourth time this season, Glentoran supporters have voted Elliott Morris as Player of the Month for January.

Elliott secured 42% of the vote to be a clear winner. Runner up was Dylan Davidson with 11%, followed by December winner Calum Birney and Kym Nelson, both on 9%.

Looks like we have a very firm favourite for the 2017/18 Glentoran Player of the Year.

Glentoran 2-1 Ballinamallard United

Wed, 07/02/2018 - 09:15

Two second half goals were enough to give Glentoran three points in a scrappy encounter with Ballinamallard United on a bitterly cold night at The Oval. Goals from Willie Garrett and Curtis Allen were enough to overcome Sean Noble’s first half opener. Glentoran made one change to the side that won 4-0 at Ballyclare Comrades on Saturday with James Knowles coming in for the suspended Dylan Davidson. On a frosty night the game started slowly with both teams looking cautious early on.

Glentoran v Ballinamallard United

Tuesday 6th February 2018, 7.45pm.

On Tuesday night we welcome Ballinamallard United to the Oval for our rearranged Danske Bank Premiership match. We do so on the back of our promising 4-0 Irish Cup win at Ballyclare on Saturday. We all hope that comprehensive win gives the players the confidence boost needed to drive our push for a top six finish and further cup success.

Ballyclare Comrades 0-4 Glentoran

Sat, 03/02/2018 - 19:02

It was Curtis Allen to the 'four' as the Glens booked their place in the quarter finals of the Tennents Irish Cup at Dixon Park this afternoon.

On a bright but cold Saturday afternoon in Ballyclare, Glentoran comfortably saw off the home side, scoring three first half goals, a second half penalty and also hitting the woodwork on two further occasions.

Ballyclare Comrades v Glentoran

Irish Cup Round Six

Dixon Park, Ballyclare

Saturday 3rd February 2018, 3pm kick off.

This Saturday we continue this year’s Irish Cup campaign with a visit to Ballyclare.

We haven’t played the Comrades in the Irish Cup since the same stage in February 2010, again in Dixon Park when a Colin Nixon goal and a penalty from Gary Hamilton were enough to secure a 1-2 win for the Glens.
