Glens up to 4th after Glenavon win
Glentoran have climbed above Coleraine to 4th in the Danske Bank Premiership following a 2-1 win against Glenavon at The Oval. Glentoran's performance was never particularly convincing and never comfortable but nevertheless the ability to win whilst not at our best is a quality most teams strive to have.
Hamilton makes Oval return for Glenavon
Having scored 106 goals in his time in East Belfast, Gary Hamilton is sure to receive a warm reception at The Oval tonight as returns as player-manager for Glenavon. Hamilton took over at Glenavon last Christmas and is yet to record victory over The Glens in the Danske Bank Premiership. This season has seen a draw and a victory for Glentoran against Glenavon, the win coming at The Oval in October by 2-1 with Mark Clarke getting the winner that day.
Bar information for Tuesday evening's game
Glenavon visit East Belfast on Tuesday evening for the rescheduled game which was postponed last month. Hopefully Glentoran will continue their recent good form and move up to 4th place in the Danske Bank Premiership table.
The Premier Lounge will be open from 6:30pm and will have live coverage of the Glentoran v Glenavon match on the screens while also on the background big screen, Barcelona entertain Real Madrid in the Spanish Cup.
Chairman's invitation

The Chairman will make every effort to attend at the first available opportunity.
Lisburn Distillery 0 - 3 Glentoran
Goals from Sean Ward, Richard Clarke and Andrew Waterworth gave Glentoran a comfortable 3-0 win at Ballyskeagh this afternoon. It was an unspectacular performance from the Glens in freezing conditions; one of those games when the team didn’t play to their full potential but, most importantly, dug deep and still picked up 3 valuable points.
Glens travel to Whites
After the fantastic Setanta Cup victory over St Pat's Athletic on Monday night Glentoran must keep the momentum going in a crucial Danske Bank Premiership game against Lisburn Distillery. Glentoran sit 6th currently in the league table with 2 games in hand over Ballinamallard Utd in 5th and Coleraine in 4th. Victory would be an important marker in securing a top 6 finish enabling us to push on for the all-important European places.
