Glentoran Under 20s
Glentoran Under 20s kicked off their Premiership Development League campaign with 3 points over Dungannon Swifts at Stangmore Park. The Glens started out of the blocks the quicker going 1-0 up early in the first half. Jake Kerr put through forward Padraig Hughes who lobbed the oncoming goalkeeper to grab a goal on his debut for the club. The second followed shortly after, it was Hughes again on the score sheet tapping in from close range following good work by Tiarnan McAuley.

Match Preview - Glentoran v Dungannon Swifts
It's back to the Oval we go as the new season kicks off in the Danske Bank Premiership. The pre-season has been completed and with the pitch in fantastic condition, thanks to our groundsman William Kirkwood, we are good to go.

Tomorrow's Gazette
The first full edition of the multi-award winning Glentoran Gazette for this season will be on sale at tomorrow’s game against Dungannon Swifts. There’s Alan Kernaghan’s assessment of our busy summer, interviews with players past and present, the first of our pull-out player posters starting with Jonny Smith, details of a new Glentoran book in the pipeline and lots more. Your merry band of sellers will be in their usual spot just inside the turnstiles. Get them while they last!
Car Parking
With the new season starting, Glentoran FC asks that all supporters please show consideration for the concerns and convenience of local residents when parking for home matches at The Oval.
During the summer local young people have planted flowers in the grass verges around St Christopher’s Church. It would be totally unfair to have these damaged by people visiting the area for matches. So please avoid parking on or near this area in and around Parkgate Drive.
David Howland
Glentoran is sorry to announce that David Howland has left the club after 6 years at the Oval. Having now graduated as a physiotherapist he has secured a job with the academy at Crewe Alexandra FC.
David (29) joined the club from Port Vale and immediately made his debut in central midfield in a home scoreless draw against Linfield. The longest serving outfield first team player at the club, he went on to make 125 appearances, scoring 13 goals.

Shirt Launch Update
