Glentoran could secure three successive Danske Bank Premiership wins for the first time this season against Ballinamallard United tomorrow.

After losing in four straight Premiership games and suffering an Irish Cup exit, Alan Kernaghan’s men have revived their season with back-to-back league wins last week.

Victories over Glenavon and Ballymena United have helped the East Belfast side turn their fortunes around, stretching an advantage over Portadown to nine points in the race to secure a top six finish before the league splits.

Now the Glens could make it three in a row, a feat they are yet to achieve this campaign, when they travel to Fermanagh for tomorrow’s clash with the Mallards.

Whitey Anderson’s side have been thrown into a relegation battle following Warrenpoint Town’s recent resurgence.  The 'Ducks' are three points above the foot of the table, but having played two games more than bottom club Carrick Rangers.

The Glens will be buoyed by their strong record in this fixture, having just lost once in the last seven meetings.

The last time the pair clashed back in December, it was Kernaghan’s side that came out on top in an entertaining encounter at Ferney Park.  Midfielder Fra McCaffrey bagged a brace as the Mallards fought from behind twice to equalise.  The Glens weren’t discouraged as they were able to see out a 2-4 victory.

Ahead of tomorrow’s showdown, the Glens have bolstered their midfield with the signing of former Shamrock Rovers ace Stephen Rice.  The 31-year-old has signed as a free agent and could make his debut in tomorrow’s game.
