Glentoran travel to Lurgan this weekend in the first of the post-split fixtures. It will be the Glens fourth visit to Mourneview Park this season and they'll be hoping that they make it four wins out of four.

The most recent trip was just two weeks ago for the Irish Cup semi-final against Crusaders when Eddie Patterson's side ripped up the form book and booked their place in the final on 2nd May.

The other two visits came back in October when we faced Glenavon in the Danske Bank Premiership and the Wasp Solutions League Cup; the games being played within the space of four days of each other.

In the Premiership match Curtis Allen and David Scullion linked well to set up Jordan Stewart for the Glentoran opener. The home side then levelled before Stewart provided Scullion with the opportunity to grab the winner 10 minutes from time. You can watch the highlights from that game on BBC Sport NI again HERE.

The scoreline in the League Cup meeting was more emphatic, Glentoran winning 5-1. Curtis Allen's early free kick put the Glens in front before Conor Dillon grabbed an equaliser. Dillon went from hero to villan before the break though, conceding a penalty and also picking up a red card. Fra McCaffrey dispatched the spot kick and he added another 7 minutes into the second half to give the Glens a 3-1 lead. Jordan Stewart made it 4-1 and then minutes from the end McCaffrey completed his hattrick. Goals from that game are on BBC Sport NI HERE.

Eddie Patterson will be forced to shuffle the pack over the holiday period with both Curtis Allen and Stephen McAlorum having to serve suspensions. One player's misfortune is another's opportunity though and with a cup final coming up in a few weeks motivation should not be a problem for whoever gets their chance.
