Glentoran U20s got back to league action following Saturday's 5-1 defeat to Ards Rangers in the Intermediate Cup.
Glentoran had a chance early in the game following good work from Karl Hamill, Kris Gaw's 25 yard strike going just over.

Karl Hamill, starting up top after a run of goals playing in that position, pressured the Glenavon defence that lead to Cafolla putting through Conal Delaney whose shot was saved by former Glentoran keeper James Taylor.
Glenavon had chances of their own in the first half, Alex Mcilmail came close before goalkeeper Ryan Heaney denied the Lurgan Blues just on half time saving from a corner. Ryan was deputising for the Under 20s aged just 15 following a number of appearances for our U16s, 17s and 18s this season.
Half Time
Glentoran 0-0 Glenavon
Glentoran started slowly in the second half and conceded an early goal, a long ball to Bates that was headed away by Lee Newell, it fell for Jordan Jenkins who scored from 20 yards out to put Glenavon 1-0 up.
Kevin Farley should have equalised for Glentoran minutes after, his free header from a corner went over.

Glenavon made it 2-0 on the hour mark, Guy Bates playing a great ball to Jordan Jenkins who scored past substitute goalkeeper Matty Anderson; Matty (16) again making his debut for the Under 20s.
Glentoran started to up their game and grabbed a goal back, Conal Delaney ran beyond and was put through 1 on 1 with Taylor, he got the better of him this time slotting the ball into the bottom left hand corner.
Glenavon had the chance to make it 3-1 but Jenkins missed from 6 yards following a dangerous cross from Bates.

Hamil ran his socks off all night and was unlucky not to grab a goal as he had an effort saved at the near post.
Glentoran deservedly got an equaliser with a superb goal, Delaney played a ball into the channel for Gaw, he cut back for Joe O'Connor who scored making it 2-2.
Everyone in the ground thought Glentoran grabbed a winner, one from the training ground as Cafolla found Mark Lowe following a quick corner, however his 30 yard effort went just over.
