Glentoran Women's team kicked off the 2013 season with a 3-0 win over Linfield at the Oval courtesy  of a hat trick from the long serving Kelly Bailie. Prior to the kick off both sets of players observed a minute silence for Mary Campbell mother of Sharon Campbell secretary of Glentoran/BU.

Glentoran/BU's first goal came from a converted Gail Macklin corner and Kelly Bailie added to her tally just before half time when she latched onto a long clearance from goalkeeper Ashley McKinnon, beat a number of Linfield defenders before firing home past the Linfield keeper. The second half started with Linfield striving hard to get on the score board but Ashley McKinnon in her debut as the 1st choice keeper made a number of excellent saves. In the 72nd minute the matter was put beyond doubt when Kelly Bailie completed her hat trick, finishing off a move following good play from Nadine Caldwell and Lauren Wade.
The final 15 minutes saw Linfield working hard to get on the score board but the Glentoran back four and goalkeeper remained resolute.

Glentoran/BU's next match is next Wednesday 1st of May v Predators at Billy Neill Playing Fields, Comber Road, Dundonald. Kick-off 7.00pm.
