The following is from the Board of Directors of the Glentoran Recreation Company
A number of incidents at our match with Crusaders at Seaview on Saturday (28 October) have come to public attention and through the media. Glentoran Football Club is fully investigating the following incidents:
- The enforced location of a number of Glentoran supporters in the uncovered area of the South Stand at Seaview and the response to the half time request by those supporters to be accommodated in the dry and largely empty Shore Road Stand. We are investigating the treatment of our supporters, and the behaviour of security personnel in that area. Should we find any wrong doing by any individual Glentoran supporters we will act accordingly
- The immediate aftermath of the serious injury to Bobby Burns and the multiple potential failures surrounding Bobby’s injury.
The club has engaged with relevant authorities to determine our next steps.
